Medspray is developing a spraying adapter, that can be placed in the breathing circuit of a ventilated patient in the intensive care unit. The syringe can be filled with medication by the ICU professional and the drug can be administered by timing the dosing with the breathing sequence, manually. The device is fully disposable, for single patient use.
First injection moulded prototypes are expected mid June. Our team is confident that these can and will be used in clinical trials for the treatment of COVID19 patients. Medspray has invested in this development as we believe this can make a difference in the world wide battle against the Corona virus, at least until a vaccine is available.
