Medspray’s customers are located all over the world. The manufacturer of Spray Nozzles has been supplying pharmaceutical companies since 2001, as well as manufacturers of perfumes and air fresheners. “We can produce a customized spray in such a way that the effect is maximized if you use it to deposit medicines into the lungs. You can inhale small and uniform droplets, if the droplets are too large they will end up in the throat. Our inhalers are suitable for any drug that is soluble ”, says CEO Han van Egmond.
For the corona medicine – which is not yet available – Medspray is developing a device that can also be connected to a breathing machine with a coupling piece. Van Egmond: “The Pulmo spray, as we have called our device, is basically ready. We are now working on the CE registration ”. It is developed purely to combat Covid-19. Prototypes of the product have already been shared with doctors from various academic medical centers in the Netherlands and Germany. ”
