Description of the tasks or assignment:
Design of a medication delivery device (including a SNU) to use within a ventilation circuit to be able to medicate patients that are ventilated.
High level description of tasks:
– (Re)design of prototype spray adapter to optimise airflow and minimise medication losses within the adapter. (Starting with passive ventilation, and in a later stage active ventilation)
– Testing of designed prototypes within the ventilation circuit (measure deposition and losses within the system, particle size etc.)
– In case of end assignment: Proposal on manufacturability and material selection.
